Team
i was 8814 is the result of a passionate and skilled team of artists, researchers, and storytellers, each committed to honoring Hanna’s journey and preserving history.
The film weaves together archival footage, moving scenes from Hanna Zack Miley’s return journeys to Germany, England, and Poland, and evocative textile recreations of her memories by artist Laura Nathan.
It is grounded in rigorous historical research, guided by the insights of PhD scholars specializing in the Holocaust and Kindertransport. Their expertise ensures both context and authenticity. In addition, deeply personal reflections are shared by witnesses who have accompanied Hanna on her journey of remembrance and healing.
